Color, color and more color!
I just got some interior home/home fashion COLOR TREND info from an excellent source! I have interpreted the trends with my own color swatches, descriptions, and images for you! These are mainly for home fashion 2009.

Violet and purples
- violet is THE hot color right now, in both fashion, home accessories, and interior design. The violet trend is not new but the colors are shifting towards plummy shades that are sophisticated and soft. Look for natural plum, soft periwinkle, and red grape shades.

Blues- these are greatly influenced by water and the environment right now. Look for clear pale aqua blues, deep-sea navy and cool glassy aquas with a grey-grey cast.

Pinks-
these are sophisticated colors and very feminine: dusty, sweet, or very pale and almost cosmetic tints. Look for ashes of roses, plum-pinks and a few bright rose pinks.

Reds and oranges-
reds have gone toward yellow again and are elegant like old Chinese lacquer. Orange has shifted to soft muted corals and earthy mineral colors. Look for vintage corals and iron-ore shades.

Yellows and greens-
these are melding into each other right now: yellows are citrus-y and tinged with green, greens are natural, yellow-based and restrained.
Think of lemon zest, yellow bamboo, and Palo verde trees.

Neutrals-
two groups of neutrals stand out- warm yellow-based browns and a sophisticated group of variable grey shades. Look for desert tans, milk chocolate and sandy tints while greys look like natural stone with a few pale silvers to cool the eye.
