After purple, then there are the grey kitchens, which is probably one of the worst interior colors to do an entire room in! Grey is wonderful in natural materials such as granite counters, a slate floor, tumbled marble tile, but do not do an entire room in grey! Why? Grey appears cold, industrial, hard, and suppresses the appetite when there is too much of it. It’s fine to buy those stainless appliances (I have them in my kitchen) but combine the cold steel with warm colors and warm materials, even warm grey stone floors or counters. I truly love the modern look but who says modern has to be cold and industrial? Otherwise your kitchen will end up looking like the bridge of a spaceship, which is great if that’s what you are in to. Strike a balance and end up with a friendly kitchen!
