Spring/Summer Home Trend Report, part 1
It's that time of year.....design shows like NEOCON and the International Gift Fair are going on and that means a glimpse into the world of retail items you will see in the coming months ahead.
Here's what looks interesting:

• White is white hot! Look for the ordinary, such as kitchen gear and plastic items in white and the extraordinary, like the Frou Frou Parasol by Belgian designer Davy Groseman. Available at the Conran Shop. Texture makes plain white look interesting and unusual.
  
• Blue happens to also be THE hot color for interiors right now and is gorgeous and looks great with virtually anything. It looks new in unexpected materials, paired with crisp white like this elegant blue coral artwork available from Z Gallerie.
• Flower motifs, especially in tabletop, such as Zak Designs fabulous pink melamine Rose Bowls looks wonderful as an unusual centerpiece and work double duty as serving bowls and mixing bowls. Cause marketing at it's best!
• Wall sconces....lighting is always an interesting way to add excitement to an interior. Looks for brushed and matte finished metals like nickel, iron, and bronze and glass, resin, or stone shades in warm cream, golden, or apricot tones. Check out the latest in energy-saving luxury from this German company and this gorgeous hand-forged iron sconce by an American company.
