Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I've been busy....and "off" for the last 10 days. I did an "open studio art tour" the weekend of November 12th. That was really nice! I opened my art studio to the public and got to share my art for 2 days. It was part of a tour sponsored by Tucson Pima Arts Council. I had 38 people over the weekend, not bad for a newcomer and for someone that lives on the north end of town. (Artists with studios downtown get a lot more traffic in general). I got a lot of great feedback about my art as well: over all it was very popular but my latest seemed to stand out, which is shown above. ("Quilted Flower"). It's the first of a new series and very different from previous pieces. the series is called "Archetypal Flowers". This painting is now at LKG Contemporary in Scottsdale! Greg liked it so much that he put it into the gallery window right away. In addition, I've had my Mom and step-Dad visiting for several days, they left Tuesday afternoon. So now I have to get back to painting! More updates soon and a new ColorTalk newsletter about the color BLUE coming soon! Cheers and happy holidays! ~reb
